Call for LATINO2 Supporters & Industry Leaders
Yesterday, the founders of the LATINO2 Conference, LATISM, put the call out for supporters of Latinos in the Tech field to come forward and redefine the industry.
“We’re calling Latin@ Tech-Startups, Founders, Developers, Co-Founders, Venture Capitalists, Accelerators, Policy Makers, Angels, Corporations, Foundations, Social Entrepreneurs, Educators, Marketers, MBAs and Activists to join the LATINO2 Tech Community.” writes Ana Roca-Castro, founder of LATISM.
The call actually originated last February, with a post entitled “Where are the Latinos in Tech Start-ups?”. Since then, LATISM has organized their efforts and they are looking for supporters to create change for Latinos in the Tech field. Will you join them?
What is LATINO2 & Why Should You Care?
LATINO2 is the premier conference for Latinos in the Tech and Social Media fields. Not only are some of the top speakers featured, but it is an amazing opportunity to connect Latinos and supporters in these industries through workshops, round-tables, and networking breakouts.
“The main point of the Latino2 conference evolved around the power we had in our hands to MAKE IT HAPPEN. No more complaining about systems and outsiders. We can create jobs, we can become a source of inspiration to our young Latin@s to bring up graduation rates, we can be mentors, we can start up. By the mere fact that 100% of the Latino2 attendees were among the 9% of Latin@s with a 4 year degree (which is a scandal by the way). We had the leaders ready to shape the present. So let’s MAKE IT HAPPEN!” ~ Ana Roca-Castro, Founder of LATISM on her experience at the first annual LATINO2 conference.
