Where Are All The South Asian Mom Bloggers
Today it was shared in our Facebook group that Masala Mommas is looking for South Asian mom bloggers to highlight on their website.
In a post titled Where Are All the South Asian Mom Bloggers? that was also recently highlighted on BlogHer, Anjum quotes several South Asian mom bloggers who open up about their experience online and their desire to have a network of South Asian mom bloggers who can relate to their experiences, show support and build community.
I went through a very similar experience when I started blogging…feeling isolated and like there weren’t many people out there who’s story matched mine, but little by little, you discover more individuals like you and the world doesn’t feel quite as lonely anymore. This is especially true for families who have relocated, married interculturally or otherwise come to a point where they feel an emotional disconnect from their current surroundings and want to connect more with moms or families who share their experiences.
Building community, weather at home or online, is so essential for bicultural and multicultural families who want to identify with others like them. I know it has had a huge impact on our family since relocating to the Midwest 3 years ago!
